Assignment or Alienation of Benefits
Qualified Domestic Relations Order In the event of a QDRO, benefits under the pension plan and savings program may be payable to someone other than your designated beneficiary to satisfy a legal obligation you may have to a spouse, former spouse, child or other dependent. Your pension plan or savings program benefits will be reduced by the benefits payable under the QDRO to someone else. There are specific requirements which a domestic relations order must meet to be recognized by the Company as a QDRO, and specific procedures regarding the amount and timing of payments. If you are affected by such an order, you will be notified by the Benefit Plans Office. Participants and beneficiaries may obtain, without charge, a copy of the plan’s procedures governing QDROs from the plan administrator.
